Madeline Bartley was born in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Murray State University where she received her B.F.A. in printmaking and drawing. She has earned her M.F.A. from Syracuse University’s Collage of Visual Performing Arts in 2016. A recipient of the Creative Opportunity Grant and the Turner Residency in Los Angeles, CA., she is featured in Notations, printresting.org, and What’s Apparatus? She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows including exhibitions at the Hand Held Gallery (Melbourne, Australia), Walnut Ink Projects (Michigan City, IN), The Rogue Space (New York, NY), and Museum of Latin American Art (Long Beach, CA).

Madeline is currently living in Syracuse, NY and is working at Boxcar Press as a letterpress operator. She also continues her studio practice at Art Stead, a non-for-profit arts collective.
